As I reviewed the tabs on the NBA team’s website, I clicked on the ‘Hawks Shop’ tab, where it lead me to the website. The creators of the website are in association with the Hawks’ team and it’s web designers. It’s purpose is to sell the gear to Atlanta Hawks’ fans. Some of the gear includes shirts, jerseys, playoff tees, sweats, jackets, and even novelties for fans all ages and sizes. The kind of evidence it provides is the address for the shop, and contact information. The intended audience are fans of the team and people wanting to buy novelties. The website also includes tabs like ‘Men, Women, New Items, Youth, Hats, Novelty, Retro, Gift Cards, and Clearance.’ I’ve noticed that most gear don’t run sizes larger than XXL, or smaller than S. “Philips Arena :: Home.” Philips Arena :: Home. N.p., n.d. Web. 01 Apr. 2016. As I observed the Atlanta Hawks’ website, I discovered that the Hawks play their home games at Philips Arena. The website also directly leads you to the Phillips Arena website. I got there by going under the ‘More’ tab and clicking ‘Philips Arena.’ As I first opened the official Philips Arena website, an ad for the Atlanta Hawks popped up. It advertises the playoffs and purchasing tickets to see the Hawks playing at home. The purpose of the website is to inform visitors of the arenas future events, ticketing, seating directions and parking information. I noticed at the very top of the website you can find a Facebook and Twitter link, and it also has “THE WORLD’S FIRST LEED CERTIFIED NBA ARENA” mentioned. The visitors of the arena and people looking to attended events are the intended audience. The kinds of evidence it provides are list of dates of specific events,virtual seating map of the arena, and history of the arena. Christiane Lauterbach, a journalist for Atlanta magazine, is a food enthusiast who writes in this article about Flying Biscuit Café being a unique restaurant that has made “an art of comfort food.” Lauterbach writes ‘Come Fly with Me’ as she visits the restaurant in hopes of seeing why it has become so popular in the city in the last decade. The evidence she uses is from her experience at the café. She goes into detail about the different combinations of comfort food. The author’s purpose is to recognize the Flying Biscuit as a restaurant that thrives in Atlanta and is seen as gourmet home food.
